According to multiple unconfirmed reports, there appears to be a feud between the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and the governor elect of the state, Sim Fubara.
But according to a report by Tribune, the Rivers State Governor, has denied the existence of any fight between himself and the incoming governor, who he handpicked to be his successor.
Describing those spreading such rumours as peddlers of fake news, he maintained that they’re only trying to cook false narratives, considering the fact that he defeated them hands down.
He said: “Here is somebody who is yet to be sworn in as governor, so what will bring the fight. I’m still in charge. I still have eight days to go. Honestly, I don’t know what the peddlers of this fake news wanted to achieve. Are they not tired? I defeated them all-right, left and centre. They are not satisfied. Now they are coming up with a cook and bull story.”
