Notably, the series of loan requests that have been recorded under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari have drawn lots of attention in the contemporary Nigerian society. It has been viewed in different perspectives as being a contributory factor to the drop of the Nigerian economy. Other misconceptions of the public have it that the borrowings are behind the drop in the value of the Nigerian Naira. Although, it is not surprising that critics would say whatever they like in order to relegate the efforts of the present administration.

On this note, it is at the right timing that the honorable Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed has spoken up on the inordinate loan requests that have been encountered by president Buhari's administration. In a recent report that was issued by DailyPost News, Lai Mohammed gave a tangible reason why the government is borrowing funds abroad. He made it known in clarion voice that the government is "not borrowing to pay salaries", rather the government's borrowing is focused on building "world-class infrastructures for the good of Nigerians and the next generations to come.

In this perspective, even if the government does not borrow, it would still have the capacity to pay salaries. Hence, a critical look at this reason that was given by Lai Mohammed, naturally passes a message to Nigerians which I would like to say in my best interest.

The Future Of Nigeria Is A Major Concern To President Muhammadu Buhari
It is in the light of the rationale behind Buhari's series of loan requests that this message passes across to Nigerians. This is indeed the appropriate time for Nigerians to know that the future of this country is a major concern to President Muhammadu Buhari.

The world-class infrastructures that would be built with this loan would go a long way to boost the development of the country and guarantee a better life for the future generations of Nigerians to come.
In conclusion, it is on this mindset that naysayers ought to stop their condemnation of the present administration, knowing very well that the government is at work.
