Headlines News: Defected PDP Chieftains Visit Buhari, "Stop Attacks On Amaechi" -CMD

It is not news that Nigeria's political Foreplay is somewhat laughable, members of the party betray their peers for their political ambitions and this has been the tale of the day.

Recently, many prominent politicians have decamped from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress(APC) which is the ruling party in the country. The latest PDP chieftain to join jump ship is the former Ogun state governor Gbenga Daniel, who has cemented his defection to the party with a courtesy visit to the ASOROCK Presidential Villa where he met the president.

Mr. Gbenga Daniel spoke on Monday when he was received alongside Oladimeji Bankole, former speaker of the House of Representatives by President in the villa said;

Stop Attacks On Amaechi, Focus On Governance- CMD

CHIEF Medical Director, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Prof. Henry Ugboma, has asked the state governor to focus on matters of state governance and stop the on going attacks on former river state governor Rotimi Amaechi.

Departing justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Bode Rhodes-Vivour has urged judges not to rely so much on the doctrine of judicial precedents because some of them do not make sense any more and outdated. He also suggested that most of this doctrines should be laid to rest.

He also made a plea for the electoral act to be amended. He added that the burden of proving beyond doubt that an election was free and fair should be shifted to Independent National Electoral Commissionbecause the petitioner has an uphill task proving his petition in accordance with the Electoral Act.
