It is no longer news that the outcome of the just concluded 2023 presidential election has been challenged by the Labour Party and the Peoples Democratic Party.
Since Bola Tinubu was declared as president-elect by INEC, a lot of people have been claiming that majority of the election results in some states were tampered with in favour of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu.
Speaking on the outcome of the election in an interview with Arise News, Atedo Peterside, founder of ANAP foundation, claimed that the election was marred by a lot of irregularities.
Atedo Peterside noted that some of the results which were uploaded on INEC server were tampered with, and there is every reason to believe that they could have been changed in favour of the All Progressives Congress.
According to him, parts of those results are an insult to anybody's intelligence and anyone rushing to congratulate Bola Tinubu as president-elect, has probably not taken taken the trouble to even look at the available information or evidence.
"If they go through this process and the judges convince us everything was done correctly, and we adopt the numbers, whoever is the winner, we will congratulate the person, but for now, it's premature. When I can see with my own eyes what INEC has uploaded, part of what they've uploaded is an insult on anybody's intelligence, that's premature. People who are rushing to congratulate, probably have not taken the trouble to even look at the available information or the evidence." He said.
