Mallam Nasir El-rufai is a former minister of the Federal Capital territory during the political administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo. He decamped into the All Progressive Congress before the 2015 general election. Gov. Nasir El-rufai was the national deputy secretary of the newly formed All Progressive Congress (APC).
He emerged the governor of Kaduna state in 2015 after defeating Gov. Ramalan Yero in a keenly contested governorship election.
Gov. Nasir El-rufai was fingered in the recent dissolution of the national working committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) by the national executive committee of the party. Also belived to be nurturing presidential ambition come 2023.
