Bowing to pressures from the 11 aspirants jostling for the Ondo State Governorship contest, the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the national level has directed a reversal of the mode of voting to implemented during Monday's primary.
Gov. Yahaya Bello, Chairman, Electoral Committee, Ondo APC Primary
The party has, therefore, overruled the decision of the Governor Yahaya Bello' Electoral Committee that voting would take place in each of the 18 local government areas of the state while collations and announcement of results was to be in Akure.
Many have criticised the Yahaya plan as a move seen not transparent enough and capable of using it to perpetuate fraudulent voting likely to be skewed in favour of Governor Akeredolu.
Already all the aspirants ihave despatched their respective delegates to all nooks and crannies of the state as at two hours ago.
But. Directives now issued from Abuja as indicated that all delegates must assemble in one same venue.
The implication now is that the party has sent signals that it would not allow some unnamed Governor's to overturn the peoples mandate and has vowed to make the exercise as transparent as possible
