After failing to win PDP governorship ticket for November 16 governorship election in Kogi State, available indicators have shown that Abubakar Ibrahim Idris will return in 2023 to win the Kogi State governorship election.
Abubakar Ibrahim, the son of former Governor of Kogi State, Ibrahim Idris has been able to win the love of the people through his numerous intervention especially in Kogi East.
Ibrahim who was the first runner up of the PDP governorship primaries for November 16, 2019 Kogi State governorship election has been able to buid his political network across the state.
Despite losing out at the PDP governorship primaries and the subsequent litigations to Musa Wada, the son of the former governor still enjoys the loyalty and supports of the PDP faithfuls and the people of the state.
Another factor that may also help Ibrahim to win 2023 governorship election in Kogi State is his father's influence. His father's political network and influence will definitely be ready to work for him to win the governor of the after failing to realize his ambition in 2019.
It is aso believe that PDP will be zoning its governorship ticket to Kogi East where Abubakar Ibrahim hails from, this will also help him to clinch the party's ticket and fulfil his dream of ruling Kogi State.
Having polled so much supports and acceptance across the state to emerge the first runner up of the PDP governorship primaries in the last Kogi governorship election, it will be difficult for Ibrahim to abandon his supporters and shelve his governorship ambition in 2023.
