I Will Remain In The State For Five Months After Handing Over Power - Governor Ortom

According to a recent report by Vanguard, it was reported that the Benue State Government has made a disclosure that Governor Samuel Orton will still remain in the state after handing over power to the government elect, Rev. Fr. Hyancith Alia.

This revelation was made by the Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Mr. Michael Inalegwu, on Tuesday while having words with reporters after the State Executive Council meeting.

From his statement, "HHe said the governor will not leave the state for about five months after handing over power, in order to clarify himself on issues that would require his attention.

Speaking further, Mr. Inalegwu said the Governor Ortom administration was supposed to get 42 billions for the payment of outstanding salaries and 20 billions for infrastructure and development, but we were denied it after it was approved.

"The outgoing government had contributed over 6 billion to the Pencom Contributory Pension Fund to assist the incoming administration pay pensions; we will do anything to leave a good record," he added.
