The Kwara State Government led by Governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman announced the completion of the bypass from Asa Dam to Oke-ose and others in the state. Kwara Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Arinola Lawal made this known yesterday.
She said "I am pleased to announce the completion of the bypass from Asa-Dam to Oke-Ose and the interconnection of water lines in Awolowo road Tanke area Ilorin and other communities within the state capital."
"The areas that would benefit from the bypass are, Oke-Ose, Elekoyangan, Sango area, Oyun, School of Handicap, Kwara Polytechnic University of Ilorin Teaching hospital and other community in Ilorin the Kwara state capital."
"Before, these areas relied on water coming from Eastern reservoir but now they can enjoy prompt and adequate water supply directly from Asa-Dam."
"Lastly, I want to use the opportunity to plead to Kwarans to reciprocate government's gesture by taking good care of these properties."
