Our attention has been drawn to the skewed press statement signed by Olabode Richard Olatunde, spokesperson of the Aketi / Ayedatiwa Campaign Organization, on the ongoing barbarous attacks on members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and innocent citizens of Akure Metropolis.

In his desperate yet puerile attempt to exonerate his Party-All Progressive Congress ( APC) from the turmoil, he turned the facts upside down and mischievously related our Principal-Hon. Omolafe Adeday, popularly known as Costly, among other unidentified leaders of the PDP, to this uncivilized gangsterism and contemptible political terrorism.

In recent days, it has become a source of concern in the state of Ondo, the blatant devastation, shootings & killings at the behest of the ruling APC, undoubtedly as a result of its decline in popularity & fear of rejection in the polls by our conscious electorate. The outgoing government has resorted to various types of braggadocio & lawlessness in order to disrupt the peaceful coexistence of all decent citizens so far.

The Principal, Hon. Omolafe Adedayo, who in different fora, is always preaching peace and devotion in all his campaigns and would not, in secret or openly, promote treachery among party members to obtain undue electoral advantage for our highly-favoured candidate for governor Eyitayo Jegede SAN, who is poised to win this week's gubernatorial election, according to popular demand.

We applaud the prompt efforts of the Security Agencies that have been drawn up to these scenes to restore sanity & passionately appeal to Akerodolu-Led Government to play the game by rules with utmost decorum as God & Posterity would surely judge the actions of individuals, if not now, but later.
