Obi Was The Candidate Of Christians And Igbos, Not The Entire Nigeria - Kassim Afegbua

Kassim Afegbua, former commissioner of information, Edo state and also a political analyst has stated that Peter Obi was a candidate of the Christians and also igbo ethnic group.

He made this remark while speaking in a interview with Arise Tv, analysing the outcome of the recently concluded presidential poll.

He also appealed to the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi not to further deepen the divisiveness that the country is currently facing.

His words: "I want to appeal to him not to deepen the schism of political divisiveness, by the way and manner he carried his campaign, if Obi had been the president, God forbid at this time, he would have been dividing the country along ethnic lines and religious lines because Obi was the candidates of the Christians and of the igbo ethnic stalk.

"He has co-ordinators who are igbos in some part of the North, that means he never believed in the capacity of a northerner to even campaign for him"
