I wrote this letter to express my thoughts to you on the recent criminal attacks that have taken place in Imo State, especially the attack that took place on the 5th of April.
First and foremost, every Imolites believes that the Government house should be one of the most guarded areas in any State, hence, it is really saddening that hoodlums came very close to the Government House and carried out their criminal activities at Government facilities within that vicinity, without any form of resistance from our security forces.
This attack, led to the destruction of 50 cars at the Nigerian Correctional Facility and a according to reports, over 1,500 inmates are now on the run.
Sir, the recent attack has shown how weak our emergency response services are in Imo State and I urge you to do something to correct this anomaly.
Even more, I want to use this medium to urge not to be too quick to assume that the IPOB were the perpetrators of this crime, as full investigation needs to be carried out, before such a strong statement is made.
Dear Nigerians, what is your take on this issue of national concern?
