The Boko Haram terrorism which started some years ago is not yet showing signs of ending soon although not terrorizing the country like before again.
Nigeria's neighbour countries have joined hands with Nigeria yet the terrorism could not be brought to a stop yet.
If the points I am stating here can reach presidency or President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, then Boko Haram will become a thing of the past. Below are the some necessary actions needed to be taken if Boko Haram must be defeated;
1. Repentant Boko Haram Members Should Be Used Judiciously.
The idea of leaving repentant terrorists to just go back into the society without using them in favour of the country is completely bad. Since they are former members of the sect, the should know the in and out, and also the weak point of the insurgents. With their help, Boko Haram no doubt, will be defeated in short time.
2. Boost Army's Morale By Salary Increase.
The government should boost the morale of the armed Forces fighting insurgents by increasing their salary. This will make them very happy and willing to fight terrorism as they will have the feeling that the government loves them.
3. World Class Arms And Ammunition Should Be Made Available.
One of the things federal government should do to end terrorism in short time is to provide the soldiers with world class weapons. This will enable them to overpower Boko Haram easily.
4. Soldiers Should Be Made Comfortable Always.
Soldiers should be treated comfortably always to keep their commitment to fighting insurgency. They should have anything they want as soon as possible so that they won't be excuse to give if they fail to deliver in their job.
So these are the simple things that will make Boko Haram become a thing of the past. Do you agree with me?
