Senator Shehu Sani, a Nigerian author, human rights activist and senator representing Kaduna State at the National Assembly, has taken to his official Twitter platform to say that northern and southern Kaduna would unite in the gubernatorial election, just as in the presidential election.

In his post, the senator wrote “we the people of northern Kaduna and those of Southern Kaduna will unite, irrespective of the divisive campaign be paid religious fanatics $ terminate the rule of tyranny and terror in the State. We did it in February, and we shall do it again on the 11th of March, Insah Allah”.
The Southern part of Kaduna is highly dominated by Christians, while the Northern party of Kaduna is largely dominated by Muslims, and their religious differences had been a tool in which some evil ride on to be elected into political positions.
However, it is obvious that the lawmaker was trying to promote peaceful coexistence among the people of northern and southern Kaduna, citing that if the two separated parts of the State could come together and vote massively for a candidate of their choice during the presidential election, then nothing is stopping them from doing the same in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
Meanwhile, the post by the senator sparked affirmative reactions in the comments section as many Nigerians made use of the opportunity to profess their love for other Nigerians of different regions and religions, while a host of others, especially from the northern region, affirmed that the northern and southern Kaduna can live peacefully.
