A Nigerian man whose names goes by Iyanuoluwa Bolarinwa has alleged that he was rough handled, beaten and sent out of his polling unit because he looked like an Igbo man and at the same time, refused to vote for the All Progressives Congress APC candidates in the ongoing Lagos gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections. The victim of the assault by the suspected APC thugs took to his Twitter page to revealed that when he went to the polling unit to exercise his franchise, he met with the thugs and he was denied the access to exercise his civil rights.
The Nigerian man however revealed that the suspect APC thugs took him for an Igbo man, however, he is a Yoruba man and his name says it all. After he was seriously assaulted, he revealed that the thugs asked him to go to Anambra state, which was assumed to be his state of origin to cast his votes.
He tweeted, "I was told to go back to Anambra! How does Bolarinwa sound like an Igbo name? I was rough handled, beaten and sent out because I look Igbo? Because I was not going to vote APC?"
