My Respect For Asiwaju Does Not Turn Me To Become An APC Member - Peter Ayodele Fayose Says

The former Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Peter Ayodele Fayose few days ago announced his exit from being a member of the ruling opposition People's Democratic Party for reasons best known to him.

This could be attached to the internal crisis going on in the party over time which resulted to some aggrieved key members of the party not supporting their presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the last presidential election.

Peter Ayodele Fayose since he denounced his membership from the People's Democratic Party, some people have been left wondering where he could be heading to or the new party he will be joining.

However, he has left many surprised while making his views known yesterday on a live television program at TVC where one of the anchors asked him if he will be joining the ruling All Progressives Congress if he is approached, having publicly disclosed that he is no longer a member of the PDP due to the mistakes they have made which have backfired against them.

According to the short video he posted via his verified Twitter handle, he stated clearly that he will never join the ruling All Progressives Congress as his respect for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu does not make him an APC member. He noted that jumping from one party to another has not been part of his style.

"Again, let me say this very clearly because I am glad you asked this question. I have said this more than ten, twenty, thirty times over the public that I am not a member of APC and I will never be a member of the APC, never.

You see, my respect for Asiwaju does not now turn me to become an APC member and my believe is that we as leaders must say the truth. I don't jump from one party to the other because that is not my style".
