Today, a former Senator in Osun State has defected to the ruling party towards the upcoming presidential election. Senator Iyiola Omisore is one of those iconic politicians in Osun State presently. He has been in limelight for a very long time ago and presently, he is still in controll of some group of people.
Senator Iyiola Omisore contested in the year twenty eighteen Governorship election in Osun State where he lost to the hand of both Senator Ademola Adeleke from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the Incumbent Governor of Osun State, Governor Gboyega Oyetola from the All Progressive Congress (APC).
As expected of a good and sophisticated politician in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore should not be in a political party with no relevance in the society. He should be in a political party that has visions and missions towards the upcoming presidential election. He made up his mind and joined the big men on the golden table.
While talking about the defection of Senator Iyiola Omisore as a good and safe one, we must also point out what the defection means to the All Progressive Congress (APC) members. The incumbent President of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, would not be contesting in the year twenty twenty three again and someone else will be needed to continue his works.
The members of the party has projected Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the flag bearer of the party to be in the year twenty twenty three presidential election barring any unforeseen circumstances that may hinder the politician from doing so. He needs more hands in the Southwestern part of the country in order for him to achieve his aim.
By joining the All Progressive Congress APC today, Tinubu should be rest assured of Osun State. He has been controlling the state for a very long time but he has to be rest assured of it very well. Omisore is one of the people that do counter APC in Osun State. Now that he has joined the inner circle, there is no problem for Tinubu and APC in the year twenty twenty three.
