Today, seven hundred and fifty-six delegates met in Osogbo to discuss the issue of leadership of the party that has been causing impasses between top echelons of the party. Both of them have been exchanging words here and there to show their superiorities in the party. I'm order to solve the problems concerning the leadership of the party in the Southwestern part of the country completely, the party's stalwarts met in Osogbo today.
Prince Uche Secondus, the National Chairman of the party, suggested that the event should take place in a neutral ground like Osogbo because of the differences between the two impregnable politicians. The event was scheduled to hold in Ibadan before on Friday, 10th of April but due to some unavoidable circumstances, the Congress got postponed to today.
Contrary to the general opinions, the congres is going well with former Governor Ayodele Fayose from Ekiti State and Engineer Seyi Makinde from Oyo State embracing each other. In fact, Fayose called Seyi Makinde is "political father" publicly to show that there is no rivalry between them again. It should be noted that the issue causing impasses between them is who is going to rule over the party in the geopolitical zone.
With what happened, Tinubu should have been troubled that the PDP members in the Southwestern part of the country are getting their bearings back again. If these people are well coordinated before the twenty twenty three presidential election, Tinubu may have problems concerning the coming election if there is peace in the PDP.
