3 Northern Leaders Gov Seyi Makinde Claimed Have Indicated In Running For Presidency In 2023(Photos)

Oyo State Governor and People's Democratic Party Chieftain, Engineer Seyi Makinde has stated that about three Northern leaders have indicated interest in the 2023 presidential election.

The only PDP Governor in the South West region of Nigeria revealed this during a live programme on Channels Television.

Three (3) northern leaders Seyi Makinde claimed have shown interest in succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 under the platform of the People's Democratic Party :

1. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar :

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a well-known figure when it comes to Presidential elections in the country.

The former Vice President has failed to lead the country at many attempts and now that he has indicated an interest in the 2023 election, it is most likely that it would be the last time he will contest for the presidency.

Atiku Abubakar, who hails from Adamawa State is one of the most popular and revered PDP chieftains.

2. Governor Aminu Tambuwal :

The current Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal is one of those mentioned by Governor Seyi Makinde to be eyeing the presidential seat.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives showed interest in the 2019 presidential election but was defeated in the PDP primary election by Atiku Abubakar.

3. Governor Bala Mohammed :

The former FCT Minister and incumbent Governor of Bauchi has been in politics for many years. He is one the three northern leaders Seyi Makinde claimed to have indicated interest in being the 'landlord' of Aso-Rock in 2023.

The People's Democratic Party chieftain was a former lawmaker representing his senatorial district in the red chamber of the National Assembly.
