In recent times, bandits have been attacking innocent civilians especially in the Northern part of Nigeria.
The announcement was made by the state governor when he hosted Mohammed Adamu, the inspector General of police, in the state. He further explained that bandits would receive two cows for each rifle they surrender to the state. The reason for his, according to the governor is that if given money, the bandits may want to use it in the purchase of new weapons.
The governor described Zamfara as the epicentre of the banditry in Nigeria, adding that the region and even Nigeria as a while would be safe if the menace can be dealt with by security operatives.
