1. Buhari Mourns The Death Of Mairo Daura.
Different news sources recently reported that the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari reacts to the death of a lady identified as Mairo Daura. She is known as the wife of Emir of Daura’s late older brother.
President Muhammadu Buhari expresses sadness as a result of Mairo Daura's death. He made a recall of her positive actions towards her community and expresses deep condolences over her death. According to Garba Shehu, Buhari tagged the demised as an irreplaceable loss.
2. Only God Knows Nigeria’s Next President” — Amaechi.
The current Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi recently made a statement in regard to the Nigerian presidency during an interview on channel TV. He stated that he is still the Minister of Transportation, and he would be focused in order to avoid distractions.
Speaking on the Nigerian presidency, he claims that only God knows who will be Nigeria's next president in 2023.
3. CBN Breaks Silence Over The Banned Of Cryptocurrency In Nigeria.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) finally breaks silence over the banned of Cryptocurrency in Nigeria. On Sunday, the Acting Director, Corporate Communications, Mr. Osita Nwanisobi made a clarification. According to the report, the CBN circular of February 5, 2021, didn't make any new restriction on Cryptocurrencies.
Mr. Osita Nwanisobi recalled that through CBN’s circular dated January 12, 2017, all banks were earlier restricted from the use of trade, transact and hold in Cryptocurrencies.
Nwanisobi also gave a list of countries that placed different levels of restriction on Cryptocurrency transaction. According to Nwanisobi, Cryptocurrencies are issued by unlicensed and unregulated entities, it has aid to lots of illegal activities, and therefore goes against the existing law in Nigeria.
It is obvious that many people heard about the restriction but didn't know the cause of it. CBN's recent clarification has been made to put a rest on the debate by creating an awareness.
