The swift of action and attention of the Palace in Offa land, kwara state, the central northern part of Nigeria has been drawn and called to the ongoing minor dispute between some unidentified group of people from Offa and Erin Ile communities. This unfortunate development has seemed to become a long lasting issue that always results in loss of lives and destruction of properties from both communities in Offa, the kwara state.
His Royal Majesty Oba Mufutau Muhammed Gbadamosi Ajagungbade I Esuwoye II, Olofa of Offa condems this unfortunate development and calls for peace and calmness from all parties involved in a statement released through his Principal Private Secretary. High Royal Majesty said this through his Principal secretary that "Offa is a peace loving community and I am an advocate of peaceful coexistence irrespective of religion, ethnicity, or social status. This is why I have displayed in my handling of Farmer/Herders crisis in Offa and environs. I condemn this act of violence and I call on Erin Ile community leaders to also quench this commual crisis from their end as well". This crisis has been occurring over a decade where lives have been lost and properties have been. Wasted as well as fleeing of the residents to safer zones to avoid been wasted.
HRM said further and advised Offa indigenes and citizens to comply with the curfew directives from the Kwara State Government which shall be effective from today 4th of March, 2021 till further notice between the hours of 6 PM and 8 AM.
