At the Presidential Election Council meeting at the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Directorate General of Agricultural Products vowed to defend the victory of its bannerman, Bola Tinubu, "by all means necessary." Tinubu won the presidency after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) defeated People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar, Labor Party (LP) candidate Peter Obi, and 16 of his other candidates. Remember that you declared yourself the winner. Following the election officials' statement, Atiku and Obi were dissatisfied with the outcome of the presidential election and filed a petition with the Presidential Electoral Court to challenge Tinubu's victory.
At a press conference in Abuja on Saturday, Niger governor Bello Abubakar and director general said Tinubu and his running mate, Senator kashim Shettima, have the national authority to rule for the next four years.
Abubakar said Tinubu and his wife, Shettima, won elections that had just ended, based on victories in Lagos and Borno states. However, the governor urged those dissatisfied with the election results to seek peaceful appeals in court, as required by the constitution.
Let me be clear, the president and the next vice president have national powers." and entrusted to them. We have called on those who are not satisfied with the results of the election to set up courts as provided for in the Constitution and to do so peacefully.
