Arewa Issues Warning To Miyetti Allah
The National Chairman of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Audu Ogbeh, has warned against the blockade of foodstuff from the North to the Southern part of Nigeria.
In a statement to newsmen on Tuesday, the former Agriculture Minister warned Miyetti Allah that such a step would complicate Nigeria’s economic and political state.
Ogbe said: “Nigeria is not at war with itself and such a drastic action is not necessary.
We believe that whatever may be the difficulties of their members in operating in other parts of the country, ACF leadership led by me is willing to help them solve these by talking to security agencies and the government".
Governor Abdullahi Sule Speaks
Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa has disclosed that residents of the state defend themselves when bandits try to attack them.
Speaking in an interview with Channels TV, Sule said communities in the state are alerted anytime there is information on a likely raid by bandits, and residents defend themselves when attacked.
He said: “everyone has their own approach to security challenges. what we do in Nasarawa is that the moment we see the bandits coming in, we actually alert our people; we let them know. and then, the communities actually rise up to the occasion and they also fight them.”
Boko Haram Terrorists Withdraws From Dikwa
Boko Haram terrorists have withdrawn from Dikwa in Borno State after invading the community for few hours and killing five soldiers, military sources told Sahara Reporters.
Dikwa town which is about 90km from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, and has experienced several attacks from Boko Haram.
Naija News had earlier reported that the insurgents stormed the village on Monday night and asked residents of the community not to run away.
Ayodele Speaks About Shekau
The leader of INRI Evangelical spiritual church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has said that Abubakar Shekau, leader of the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram is not a spirit and can be captured through prayers.
According to him, pastors and prophets in the country know the hideout of Shekau.
Primate Ayodele also said that he and other pastors can expose those sponsoring banditry, kidnapping and other forms of insecurity in the country.
The cleric blamed the government of Nigeria for not having the fear of God, which has led to the lingering threat to the security of lives and properties in the country.
