In some states, the crises are rooted to the conflicts between some former governors and the incumbent governors. However while other states, the political crises bedeviling All Progressives Congress could be traced to conflict caused by the political aspirations of some members of the party.

In Southwest, the political conflicts in four of the six states that make up the region may, surely, narrow the chances of the party to perform excellently well, if the leaders of the party fail to come together for outright reconciliations of the aggrieved members of the party.

First, the political crisis between loyalists of Osun State Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola and those of former Osun State Governor and, current, Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Abdulrauf Adesoji Aregbesola, has regrettably divided the party into two factions in the state.

The political rift between the members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, unfortunately, led the party to conduct parallel congresses in the Ward, Local Government and State Congresses that have been conducted for the party in Osun State, thus far. The crack that the political crisis has created in Osun APC may, sincerely, need extraordinary interventions from leaders of the party at the state, regional and national levels.

Secondly, the political misunderstanding between loyalists of Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State and supporters of Political Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, Babafemi Ojudu, could not be underrated when considering the conflicts that may hinder the chances of APC to perform excellently in the next elections.

Interesting, the leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) at the regional and national level may need to find possible ways to reconcile the warring camps of APC in Ekiti State, ahead of the 2022 Governorship Elections in the state. Otherwise, the political rift between the two major factions of APC in Ekiti State may cost the party any chance of winning the next governorship election in the state.

Thirdly, the political rift between loyalists of former Oyo State Governor, Alao Akala, and the loyalists of Florence Ajimobi who is a wife of the former Governor of Oyo State, Senator (Late) Abiola Ajimobi, may probably keep the All Progressives Congress (APC) in opposition, in Oyo State, beyond 2023, if it is not resolved.

The political conflict in Oyo State Chapter of APC has, amazingly, led the party into confusion which resulted into rowdiness that necessitated the suspension of the state congress of the party on Saturday, in Ibadan.

Fourth, the political misunderstanding between former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and the incumbent Governor of the State, Dapo Abiodun, may narrow the chances of the ruling party, APC, to easily win the 2023 polls in the state, if extraordinary attention is not given to reconcile the warring leaders and their loyalists.

The political crisis with Ogun State chapter of APC may take the course it took in 2019 Governorship Election in the State, if it is not quickly reconciled by leaders of the party at the state, regional and national levels.
