APC vice chair demands Adamu, Omisore’s resignation
The National Vice Chairman (North - West) of the All Progressives Congress, Mallam Salihu Lukman, has called for the leadership of the ruling party to be relieved of his duty in a bid to balance the Muslim - Muslim ticket of the president - elect, Bola Tinubu.
Lukman, who made the call in a statement titled “APC Internal Dynamics and the Future of Democracy,” stressed that the National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, must resign to give way to a Christian leader.

The Kaduna politician and activist also demanded the removal of APC National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore, to appease party supporters in Osun following the disastrous outcome of results from both governorship and presidential elections in the state.
Recall that an emotional Lukman was in the news two weeks ago when he appealed to Tinubu to consider taking the internal reform of the ruling party as one of his top priorities.

Osun PDP alleges manhunt, demands CP’s removal
The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party on Friday demanded the removal of the Commissioner of Police in charge of elections, Mr. Abayomi Oladipo, accusing him of bias against the party.
Addressing newsmen in Osogbo, the Osun PDP acting chairman, Dr. Adekunle Akindele, alleged that the state had been invaded by many armed men from the Nigeria Police and thugs brought from outside the state to cause mayhem and unrest.

According to him, the armed men allegedly brought to the state were received at the private home of a top member of the party.
The party further alleged that the top party chieftain had handed the armed men a list of leaders and members of the PDP to be arrested and detained for no just cause.
Ex-Niger Gov, Babangida denies dumping PDP for APC
Former Niger State Governor, Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu has denied dumping the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Aliyu in a statement signed by his Personal Assistant, Prince Innocent Kure in Minna, said described the rumours as false and untrue.

According to him, “Such information being circulated is false and untrue and should be disregarded by the general public, especially the Party PDP supporters".
The former governor insisted that he still remains a bonafide, active, committed and loyal member of the PDP in Niger State and at the national level.
The PDP stalwart in Niger, however, cautioned those peddling such false rumour to desist as he is very much committed to seeing to the success of his party in the forthcoming state governorship and state assembly elections.
Presidential election: PDP demands Yakubu’s resignation, insists INEC rigged for APC
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has asked Prof. Mahmood Yakubu to resign his chairmanship of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
The PDP said the call followed further review of “the widely - condemned infractions, brazen violation of the provisions of the Electoral Act, 2022 and criminal manipulation and alteration of election results”.

National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba declared INEC subverted the will of Nigerians in the February 25, 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections.
In a statement on Friday, the PDP also condemned “the latest scheme” by the commission to reconfigure the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System, BVAS ahead of the state polls.
