The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has come out to say that social media is playing a big role in the spread of lies about politicians like him.
According to Governor Wike who addressed some building materials traders in Port Harcourt today, there were stories that his children were killed a couple of weeks ago on social media and those stories are lies.
In his own words as seen on TVC this afternoon...
"Even if you are angry with me, you are right. Because part of the problem we have is that social media have killed us. I heard that they've killed my children the other day on social media, lies, I just laughed at it. You know in Nigeria now, anyone without a child is Wike, do you know? (Laughs). If some traders have no customer today, it's Wike's fault. If there's no food on your table, it's Wike's fault. If your girlfriend fail to visit you, it's Wike's fault. Everywhere you go, it's always my name you hear."
