Garba Shehu Debunks Sahara Reporters Story that He Indicted Osinbajo of Corruption

President Muhammadu Buhari's official spokesperson, Garba Shehu, has debunked the allegation by Sahara Reporters that he was the ghost writer of the story which alleged that suspended EFCC boss, Ibrahim Magu, gave 4 billion naira to the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo

In a tweet on Friday evening, Garba said that he does not write stories for the News Agency of Nigeria and did not write such against the Vice President. He said it was Jackson Ude, who the Vice President reported to the police that published the allegation

He distanced himself from the allegation. He talked about the role he played in standing behind his boss, the President and said the allegation against him was a price to pay

"But as a Presidential spokesman, I stood in defence of the administration against the attempt by a defeated presidential candidate and digital publisher to cause the overthrow of the government elected by Nigerians. For doing my job, I know that there is a price to pay".
