I made a wrong choice of Deputy Governor – Akeredolu

The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu, has conceded he settled on an off-base decision in his Deputy, Agboola Ajayi, who has now abandoned to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). 

Akeredolu expressed this while meeting party assigns in Igbekebo in Ese-Odo gathering zone, in front of the primaries on Monday. 

As indicated by him, "Regardless of the analysis and assault from different quarters that Ajayi is my cousin, l felt that l had settled on a decision however an off-base decision." 

The Governor said he was glad that Ajayi indicated his real nature, portraying his exit from APC as a purging. 

Akeredolu asked the individuals of the nearby government not to fret over Ajayi, asking the agents to decide in favor of him. 

Not long ago, We detailed that Ajayi asked Akeredolu to hand over to him, after he tried positive for COVID-19. 

Soon after his acquiescence from APC, Ajayi made it understood he would not leave office.
