Buhari Did His Best & Is Fulfilled Leaving Office–Shehu

President Muhammadu Buhari is fulfilled leaving as Nigeria’s leader after serving for eight years.

This is according to presidential aide Garba Shehu who featured on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics. He noted that his principal has done his best for the country.

“The President feels fulfilled. He has done exceptionally well as best as he can in the circumstances in which he has found himself. He is satisfied going home for the next president to contribute and build on the foundations he has laid,” the presidential aide said.

Ndigbo Appoints Ibe

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has appointed Professor Gregory Ibe as a member of its Presidential Advisory Council.

Ibe, who was the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the March 18 governorship election in Abia State, was appointed into the advisory body of the apex Igbo organization in a letter dated May 20 and signed by Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu.

According to the appointment letter, Ibe who is the founder of Gregory University, Uturu, was appointed based on his selfless service to the Igbo nation.

The inauguration of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Advisory Council will hold on June 9, 2023, in Enugu.

If You Don’t Have Business There, Stay Away–Bashir Warns

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special assistant on Digital communication, Bashir Ahmad, has sent out a strong warning ahead of the inauguration of President-elect, Bola Tinubu, on May 29.

Tinubu is expected to be installed as the next President of Nigeria in exactly one week.

Ahmad told people who have no business around the Eagle Square, the venue of the inauguration, to stay away.

According to him, this is a “strong warning from the security”.

He tweeted on Monday: “If you don’t have any business at or around Eagle Square on Monday, May 29th, STAY AWAY, a strong warning from the security.”

Tinubu was declared winner of the 2023 presidential election on March 1, ahead of Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP.

Resign If You Can’t Stop Extortion – Senator-Elect, Nwaebonyi Tells IGP

Senator-elect, Barr. Onyekachi Nwaebonyi representing Ebonyi North senatorial zone, on Sunday, said that the 10th National Assembly will summon the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba to account for the various funds extorted from innocent Nigerians at checkpoints.

Nwaebonyi, who spoke to newsmen hours after a thanksgiving service that took place at the ecumenical centre Abakaliki, capital of Ebonyi state, called on the IGP, Usman to resign from office if he will not stop the extortion at checkpoints.

The lawmaker lamented the continuous intimidation, harassment and tortures that innocent Nigerians pass through in the hands of brutal police officers at the various checkpoints in the country, especially in Abuja metropolis.

He called on the IGP, Usman Akali Baba to resign from office if he can’t stop the extortion within seven (7) days.
