Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai was born on the 16th of February, 1960. He's the governor of kaduna State who had been in office since 2015 after he succeeded former governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero. Governor El Rufai went to Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria where he acquired a bachelor degree in quality surveying. El Rufai also furthered his education overseas where he got his Mastera degrees and other degrees.
Governor El Rufai started his political career quite early. In the year 1998 following the death of military head of State Sani Abacha, his [Sani Abacha] successor at that time General Abdusalami Abubakar appointed El Rufai as an economic advisor. In the Economic advisor role, El Rufai worked hand in hand with World Bank and International Monetary Fund. That was where his journey all began and today he's seen as one of the most successful governors in the country.
