Today, Okha Local Government Area, witnessed a dramatic activity, as over 500 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), defied the heavy rain and marched out to announce their defection to the People's Democratic Party (PDP).
This massive defection, is indeed a cause of worry to many, as they feel that there may be more defections, in the future and this does not spell well for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu's political ambition.
Some also believe that Gov. Godwin Obaseki, may have developed a strong followership for himself. As such, when he defected to the People's Democratic Party (PDP), these ardent followers, had no choice but follow his leading .
Many believe that Governor Obaseki's rapport with the grassroots, may give an added advantage in the September 19 elections. On the other hand, some quarters ate also of the school of thought that, Adams Oshiomole's involvement in Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu's Governorship campaign, could be the necessary boost Ize-Iyamu needs, to become Governor.
Dear friends, what do you think about this situation?
