Katsina: PDP clears air on guber candidate withdrawing from race.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Katsina State has dismissed insinuations that its governorship candidate, Sen Yakubu Lado-Danmarke has withdrawn from the race.

Alhaji Kabir Yusuf-Yar’adu, the Chairman of the PDP campaign media committee, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Katsina.

Saidu Adamu, assistant director of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship campaign council in Kaduna, has been reportedly arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS).

TheCable gathered that Adamu was arrested on Wednesday alongside El Abbas Muhammed and Talib Mohammed, PDP youth leaders.

No fewer than 26 persons suspected to be fishermen were shot dead in an attack by suspected Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) militants in Gamborun Ngala local government area of Borno, security. Sources said last Wednesday night.

Gamboru Ngala is about 180km drive from Maiduguri, the state capital shares international border with Cameroun Republic.

The farmers according to Sources were killed while fishing and fetching firewood in Mukdolo village, located at the north of Dikwa Town.

Sources revealed that when dozens of the terrorists riding on motorcycles stormed the fishing field, they began shooting sporadically.
