A prominent Nigerian and a PDP leader in Nasarawa State, Mike Omeri, has revealed details of what transpired before the election that could have affected the performance of the PDP in the presidential election in favor of the Labour Party. During his interview on Channels TV, Omeri made revelations regarding some PDP members who worked for the success of the LP.
Addressing the topic, Omeri said, "The Obidient movement was a nationwide wind that could consume anybody. However, we are aware that most of the votes that the Obidient movement got were from PDP members. We are aware of this because of what transpired when we went to solicit support.
He added, "When we approached the people and urged them to vote for the PDP, they said they would vote for us, but we should allow them to use their conscience in the presidential election. We pleaded with them and did our best as politicians to get them to vote for the PDP, but the Obidient movement ravaged Delta State, the FCT, and other parts of the country. The LP movement is an indication of the signs of the times. Perhaps people needed fresh ideas, so they voted for Peter Obi.
