Amputee lady hawking ‘pure water’ gets N1m from Nigerian politician

A former governorship candidate in Imo State Mr Uche Nwosu has supported an amputee from Anyigba local government area, Kogi State with N1 million.

The former Deputy Chief of Staff to the Imo State Government and former Commissioner for Lands made the donation to Ms Mary Daniel on Sunday 11 April 2021 whose photos went viral on social media.

Mary lost her right leg at 11.

It was learnt that the 26-year-old ‘pure water’ hawker lost her right leg following an accident at age 11. Since then she has been on crutches, pressing hard to make ends meet despite her physical challenge.

The Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) told the mother-of-one he wanted to establish a provision store for her, before making the donation which was supported by his friends even as Nwosu urged other Nigerians to follow suit.
