Reaction as Malami says Atiku Can Not Contest For The Office Of The President of Nigeria.

According to the report published by vanguard, Mr. Abubakar Malami, who is the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, told the court that Atiku is not a Nigerian by birth.

He went on saying that the former Vice President, whose home town, Jada, was formerly a part of Northern Cameroon, acquired Nigerian citizenship following a plebiscite that was held in 1961.

Mr. Atiku and his political party had asked the court to dismiss the suit which they said was grossly lacking in merit. And also, Atiku, said that both his parents, grandparents and great grandparents were born in Nigeria and they lived, died as Nigerians and were buried in Nigeria. Atiku told the court that he is qualified and eligible to be elected to the office.

@Bas_elue: It still doesn't solve the high rate of lawlessness and insecurity in the nation. 2023 will take care of that. Pass legislation that will confine Buhari to one location and force him to face the challenges that Nigeria faces, rather than ruling from afar. The U.K.

@okpokpol: What's this one saying.... where were you when he was the vice president of this country in 1999? .... this government lies without a sense of humor

@tp2samarano: If you had said this before 1914, I would have had cause to stand with you on this but.

@onewaycitizen: I would have agreed with you if you had said this before 1914, but 1960...

Do you believe Atiku is a Nigerian citizen based on the statements above? If not, what is your take? Drop your comments below
