Do You Wish Okonjo Iweala Wins The Post Of The WTO DG? Then You Need To Meet Her Competitors (Photo)
The former Nigerian Minister of finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala is contesting for the post of the Director General of the World Trade Organization. She is however not just the only African that is contesting for the post, neither is she the only woman that is contesting. Check out the brief profile of the contestants below.
1) Ngozi Okonjo Iweala is from Nigeria, and she was the former Minister of finance.
2) Liam Fox is from United Kingdom, and he was the former secretary of states for international trade.
3) Jesus Seade is from Mexico, and he had World Bank and IMF experience. 4) Hamid Mamdouh is from Egypt and is part of the World Trade organisation council. 5) Amina Mohammed is from Kenya, and she had served as chair of World Trade organisation general council. 6) Yoo Myung-Hee is from South Korea, and she is the first female Minister of trade in South Korea. 7) Tudor Ulianovschi is from Moldova, and is the foreign Minister for Moldova.
8) Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri is from Saudi Arabia, and he is an advisor to the Royal Court.
All the contenders have a very intimidating curriculum vitae. We can only hope our own wins the election.
Please drop a comment of encouragement for Ngozi Iweala to show that the whole of Nigeria is solidly behind her.
