According to the interview with Arise TV, Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, spoke on why Lagosians should elect GRV, a gubernatorial candidate without experience. Mr. Peter Obi, a former Governor of Anambra State, reacted to claims that the Labour Party Lagos State Gubernatorial Candidate, Rhodes-Vivour, doesn't have the requisite experience to lead a state like Lagos.
According to Mr. Peter Obi, he stated that he was also without experience when he was campaigning to become the Governor of Anambra State, and went on to add that the only experience the current leaders possess is the experience of corruption, theft, and wrongdoings. He went on to say that at times, it is good to bring in someone who doesn't have that experience, so they can clean up the mess.
“I came in without that experience, and when they wanted to teach me that experience, I told them that they were wrong”, said Mr. Peter Obi.
According to Arise Tv interviews, the Labour Party presidential candidate then concluded by saying that Lagosians should give GRV a chance and see what he can bring to the table. He said that he is sure that GRV will not disappoint them.
Mr. Peter Obi's comments come at a time when the Lagosians are currently faced with a tough decision of choosing between a candidate with experience or one without experience. His words of encouragement to vote for GRV, a candidate without experience, are sure to leave a mark on the minds of the voters.
