Following the Plateau State forthcoming local government elections, the Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong has addressed the citizens of the state.
The election, which is slated for Saturday, 9th October 2021, has all hands on deck, as the people look forward to a free, fair and credible election.
Notwithstanding, after a successful broadcast by the governor, below are two major items mentioned by the governor that everyone needs to take seriously.
1. The governor in his speech has declared Friday, 8th October 2021 as a work free day. This is to enable all workers, the most especially civil servants, in the state to travel or move to their respective wards as they await the election.
2. The governor has also restricted vehicular movements in all the 17 local government areas of the state from 7 am to 4 pm on Saturday, 9th October 2021.
The governor concluded by appreciating the good and peace-loving people of Plateau State and advising them to be on their best behavior during and after the elections.
