Radio Lagos-Eko FM Holds The Flag Off Of ’Building Expo 2021’ In Grand Style

Yesterday, 29th March, 2021 was a red letter and memorable day, as Radio Lagos-Eko Fm holds the opening and flag off of Building Expo 2021, the first of its kind in Nigeria.

The flag off ceremony was held at the Radio Lagos-Eko Fm multi-purpose hall with the theme ‘Sustaining the Lagos State Themes Agenda on Housing’   

The flag off was kicked off with welcome address by the station General Manager, Mrs Ayo Sotonwa, followed by the  good will message by Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information And Strategy , Mr.  Olushina Torpe,  who also represented the Commissioner of information and strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotosho.


The lecture of the day was delivered by Engineer Doctor A. Oyelade, Civil and Environmental Engineer University of Lagos.

The flag off ribbon cutting was officiated by the permanent secretary who was later taken around the expo ground with other dignitaries at the event.

In his words, the Permanent Secretary affirmed that the expo is in accordance with the plan and effort of Lagos state governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu in making housing affordable for Lagosians and to also sustain and maintain a durable and lasting longer buildings.

While speaking with Ojutole, Chairman of the Planning Committee of the Expo, Mr. Kayode Adumadeyin, who is also the Director of Marketing of the station, said the situation in the building industry in Nigeria has called for a platform like Building Expo 2021.

He said this will afford all the stake holders the opportunity to come together under one roof to look at the challenges the sector is facing in terms of technology advancement in the industry worldwide.

He also noted that all the participants will benefit immensely from the expo.

Also at the flag off ceremony was Oba Muyideen Adebowale Balogun, Onisolu of Isolu kingdom, Ibeju-Lekki.
