However, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs Godswill Akpabio has linked contracts awarded by the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, to members of the National Assembly saying that majority of the contracts awarded were handled by the lawmakers.
Meanwhile, he made the disclosure while answering questions at the ongoing probe by the House of Representatives committee.

✓ Uzodinma to demolish illegal structures on govt lands
Meanwhile, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma on Monday warned that the government would soon commence demolition of properties illegally sited on government lands particularly structures built on Federal Government railway line.
However, the State Commissioner for Land, Survey and Physical Planning, Eyinnaya Onuegbu disclosed this in his office at the state secretariat, Owerri on Monday.

✓ 5 men allegedly rape 10-year-old girl in Kaduna
Meanwhile, a 10-year-old girl from Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State allegedly raped by five men, including her aunt’s husband has been rescued by youths in the area.
However, report has it that the victim is now in the custody of one Hajiya Rabi Salisu of Arida Foundation of Nigeria AFN, after her mother reported her to her aunt’s husband.
