For many who do not know, the governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Odidika Uzodinma and First Lady, Barr. (Mrs.) Chioma Uzodinma were some times ago honored and conferred the titles “Onwa n'Etiri Oha” and “Akarugo 1 of Owerri” Zone by the Owerri Zone Traditional rulers also called “Ndi Eze Owerri Zone.” See photos below below.
“Onwa n'Etiri Oha” is the Igbo translation of the moon while “Akarugo” on the other hand is the Igbo translation of an eagle. The eagle has peculiar features- an outstanding bird amongst others.
Like the popular proverb: The works of writers are replete with traits which make the Eagle a highflyer. Just like the peculiar features of the eagle, the moon is also outstanding, illuminating the Earth when it matters most. So is Governor Uzodinma and First Lady of Imo State, Barr. (Mrs) Chioma Uzodinma conferred the honors of the moon and Eagle in Owerri.
Indeed, the Sen. Hope Uzodinma and First Lady of Imo State, Barr. (Mrs.) Chioma Uzodinma have truly been honored by the people of Imo State and bestowed with the greatest honor in Igboland. They must remain outstanding in governance and satiate the goodwill of the people of Imo State, Nigeria.
