Akume who is known as the Godfather of Benue State Politics has a strong political structure, financial strength and support from the Presidency which may give him an easy ride in his quest to become the Next APC National Chairman.
Senator Ali Modu Sheriff

Sheriff, a Ex-Governor of Borno State has been in active politics since 30years ago. Apart from being an Ex-Senator and a Former Governor, His Political experience as a Former National Chairman (Acting) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is an added advantage to his National Chairmanship Ambition. Also, Sheriff is being supported by majority of the APC Governors to become the Next National Chairman of the party.
