Yourba people are known In Nigeria as a peace loving tribe by all and sundary. The people who occupy the south west regoin of Nigeria are lovers of peace and are ever ready to avoid any form of violence between them and other tribes, even amidst insecurity threatening the peace and security of the region. As it stands now, the Yoruba Leaders have disclosed the readiness of the region to maintain the peace and oness which the region is best known for.
While addressing the insecurity that has recently become the order of the day in the region, the eminent Yoruba Leaders have disclosed that Yoruba is not ready to engage in war with any region but would do everything within thier power to protect the region from bandits and Invaders who are terrorising the region on daily basis.
The disclosure was made known at a press conference organised in Lagos on Friday, march5, 2021, by Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Shief Gani Adams, Afenifere's spokesperson, Yinka Odumakin and Sola Lawal.
The even was graced by Yoruba dignitaries such as chief Ayo Adebanjo and Pa Reuben Fasoranti. The leaders revealed that there would be a stakeholders meeting on March 17 in order to proffer the next line of action for Yoruba regarding security and economic challenge in the region.
