'Peter Obi Won In Lagos, Delta, Plateau & He Still Claimed That The Election Was Rigged' -Sen Karimi

Honorable Sunday Karimi, an APC Chieftain and a new Senator-elect of Kogi have alleged that the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi should accept defeat and move on with the results of the election. Senator Karimi asserted that it's illogical to say that the election is manipulated when Labour Party won in opposition States with high margin. He identified that Peter Obi whacked the two top parties in the South East and nobody disputed the results.

He clarified that the reason why the North does not have bulk of votes in the just concluded election is because of the introduction of BVAS into the system. He argued that the results from Kano were realistic as against what Nigerians have seen in 2019. He made a clear statement that politicians should understand the rule of victory and defeat in any election.

He said, ''Politicians we need to accept defeat, with the election that was conducted recently the facts are there for us to see. INEC tried their best, you can see the figures of turnout from all over the country. It was different from what we used to have. Kano used to have up to 4 million turnouts. But with the introduction of BVAS, we now have something close to accurate figures.

You can imagine a situation where Peter Obi won Lagos, Delta State, and Plateau state and he still claimed the election was rigged. And these are opposition party states. Politicians should understand that when you lose some, you win some. Most of the parties went into that election divided and Peter Obi was one of the divided arms.''
