Opinion: The South Can Survive Without The North But The North Can't Do Without The South, Read Why

There have been series of crisis in Nigeria. Insecurity, Banditry and likewise the quarrel between the Southern part of Nigeria and the Northern parts of Nigeria. The farmers/herders and the Shasha crisis are contributions to the quarrel happening between the Southern part of Nigeria and the Northern parts of Nigeria.

Today, I want to show some reasons why the southern part of Nigeria can do without the northern part of Nigeria and why the northern part of Nigeria can't do without the Southern part of Nigeria. Check below:

The southern part of Nigeria can do without the northern part of Nigeria because of some reasons. You might say that there will be lack of food but I put it to you that if our government can rise and ensure that agriculture is taken seriously, I don't see the need why we need to buy food stuffs from the north but the north will have to depend on us for their food stuffs. I said this because even farmers lamented that they lost 10bn naira worth of tomatoes because they could not transport the goods to the southern part of Nigeria.

Also, the southern part of Nigeria is well developed than the northern part of Nigeria in terms of power, industry and even education.

Lastly, if the southern part of Nigeria refuses to transport oil to the northern part of Nigeria, what will happen? Ask yourself this question. So I implore the government to rethink about the crisis ongoing. What can you say about this?
