A People's Democratic Party Stalwart in Oyo State, Mr. Lanre Sarumi has opined that the uncommon prosperity enjoyed in Oyo State is related to the intentional people focused policies, resources management capacity and strategic collaborations being executed by the Governor Seyi Makinde led administration.
He therefore called on residents of the State to set aside their differences and work for the peace and development of the State.
Sarumi stated this in a press release on the occasion of Nigeria’s 61st Independence Day celebration.
The release quoted him as saying that “The uncommon prosperity enjoyed is related to the intentional people focused policies, resources management capacity and strategic collaboration from the present administration of the state"
"It's no longer news, but remains a heartwarming and incontrovertible fact how Oyo State has now been ranked as one of the 6 States in Nigeria with financial independence and can survive on her own for the very first time since the inception of the 4th Republic".
"This success is a testament to the hardwork and astounding effort the Chief servant of the State has put into developing and creating a business friendly environment since his emergence as the governor of Oyo State".
He stated further that, "Only an enemy of goodwill will not commend the pivoting effort of His Excellency as he pilots Oyo State on the air of zero turbulences. We celebrate Governor Seyi Makinde for living the dreams of our founding fathers."
Congratulating Nigerians, Sarumi said, “I congratulate Nigerians as we celebrate the 61st independence anniversary of the nation. As we celebrate Nigeria's independence, the good people of Oyo State can see light at the end of the tunnel in pursuit of fiscal federalism”.
The philanthropist then thanked his teeming supporters for their unalloyed loyalty and urged them to pray for the peace and unity of the country.
