Buhari Regime Will Not Name, Shame Boko Haram Financiers -Adesina.

According to Femi Adesina, President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime will not name and shame Boko Haram financiers and other sponsors of terrorism in Nigeria. Mr Adesina the media aide to the president said this on Channels tv program on Monday.

He added that Nigeria is not interested in naming and shaming anybody. Rather, it wants to bring them to justice.

Mr Adesina assured Nigerians that these people will be dragged before justice, and justice will have its way.

CNG Backs NEF.

A Coalition of 52 Northern Groups on Monday endorsed the agitation by the Northern Elders Forum that the Northern region would take advantage of its population to retain political power beyond 2023.

The group was responding to comments credited to the Spokesperson for the Northern Elders Forum, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, who spoke at an event at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, on Saturday.

Nigeria Should Have 36 Senators, One Per State, Not 109 - Okorocha.

Rochas Okorocha has stressed the need to reduce the cost of governance in Nigeria by having one senator per state. That is 36 instead of 109 senators.

The former Imo governor, who advocated a reduction in the number of senators from three to one per state, described it as one of the ways to reduce the cost of governance in Nigeria.

According to Mr Okorocha, a senator’s salary is about N2 million with a housing allowance of N3 million and other allowances amounting to about N11 million.
