Lagosians Blast Desmond Elliot Over Reconstruction Of Link Bridge (Photos)

While surfing through my social media platforms, I came across a tweet by a resident of Lagos State. In the tweet, the young man shared a picture of a bridge reconstructed at Sitta-Oke Odo by Nollywood actor turn Politician Desmond Oluwashola Elliot.

Hon. Elliot is a member of House of Assembly representing Surulere Constituency under the All Progressive Congress (APC) party.

The reconstructed wooden bridge had a large poster of the Honourable mounted close to it, which reads "The Shitta-Oke Odo Link Bridge was Reconstructed By Honourable Desmond Olusola Elliot."

The young Lagosian whose username was Mr. Alabi of Lagos was not satisfied by the reconstruction and so did replies to his tweet indicated.

After sharing the picture, the user captioned it by sarcastically stating that the reconstruction was a multi-million Naira project. He wrote:

"Desmond Elliot reconstructs multimillion Naira Bridge at Shitta-Oke Odo."

Recall that Honourable Desmond Elliot came under strong criticism and condemnation during the first week of Covid-19 lockdown for commissioning a poorly constructed hand washing equipments the Streets of Lagos.

Well, this bride project has also put him under intense condemnation. A user @mickyiv4 responded to the picture by saying: "If this man had remained in nollywood, we wouldn't have noticed he's capable of this level of idiocy."

Our favorite nollywood actor turn politician could have done better than this, I agree. I also believe this link bridge made of wood would not last long. However, it will help ease transportation for members of the community.

There is a saying I'm English that says: "Half-grade is better than none."

Do You Think Honourable Desmond Elliot Deserves To Be Praised, Instead of Being Condemned For This Project?
