It is no longer news that the General Overseer and Senior Pastor of Citadel Global Community Church(formerly Latter Rain Assembly) Pastor Tunde Bakare has visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa.
Tunde Bakare, a Christian from the South West region of Nigeria was Buhari's running mate in 2011 under the platform of the Congress for Progressives Change (CPC). President Muhammadu Buhari was defeated in the election by former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
After the private visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tunde Bakare was interviewed by the State House reporters.
These are the three important things Pastor Tunde Bakare said while fielding questions from State House reporters :
1. Pastor Tunde Bakare stated that what Nigeria needs at the present is a President who is most competent to drive the country to eldorado and not agitation for power rotation :
I agree with the well-respected and revered Pastor because Nigeria needs a leader that can redeem the image of the country and will revamp the economy Irrespective of his region or tribe.
Nigerians should focus on electing leaders in 2023 based on their past performance and antecedents rather than their state of origin or tribal affiliations.
2. Pastor Tunde Bakare expressed readiness to contest the Presidency in 2023 if 'God' and Nigerians would appreciate it :
Pastor Bakare can contest the 2023 presidential election if he wishes because he is well qualified like other aspirants.
3. He described the adoption of electronic transmission of election results as one of the best things the present National Assembly had done :
Like other millions of Nigerians, the outspoken Man of God also added his voice in support of the proposed electronic transmission of results in 2023.
I agree with Pastor Tunde Bakare because if it is passed into law, it will add to the credibility of the electoral process.
